About this race
CONFIRMED: June 15-18, 2027 (official site). A four-stage race across the Maasai Mara and a Team AMANI project, part of the Gravel Earth Series. Two options: the competitive Leopard Course (650km / 8,000m+) and the non-competitive Zebra Course (475km / 4,000m+). Stages cross open plains against the headwinds riders call 'the Dutch Mountains', the Mlima wa Shetani climb, Lachy's Delight singletrack and Loita Forest, passing Maasai villages and wildlife including elephants. MGR entrants get a discounted entry to the Safari Gravel Race the week before.
