I won an entry to Nova Eroica Val Poschiavo 2026 through Gruppetto, one of Switzerland’s coolest cycling magazines. The only catch? I’d barely ridden gravel before and didn’t even own a gravel bike! But since I happened to be in Switzerland, I figured: why not? So I spontaneously bought a gravel bike and threw myself into what turned out to be one of my biggest cycling adventures yet. Nine hours of climbing, gravel, stunning scenery and the occasional hike-a-bike. Absolutely loved it! Now I’m hooked and ready for more gravel adventures and races around Singapore. If only that women’s road-racing group would stop trying to lure me back to the tarmac…
